1- Monte Brasil Natural Reserve
Monte Brasil is an ancient extinct volcano that emerged from the sea and integrated into the city of Angra do Heroísmo, becoming a protected landscape and also the city’s natural park.
This location offers exceptional panoramic views from its excellent viewpoints. At the top of Monte Brasil you will find the Castelo de S. João Baptista, one of the most important Philippine fortresses built in Portugal in the late 16th century.
In addition, there is a pedestrian path signed by the Regional Directorate of Tourism, known as Monte Brasil, which allows people to enjoy nature while walking through super pleasant landscapes.
2- Algar do Carvão
Located in the city of Angra do Heroísmo, Algar do Carvão is an ancient volcano where you can enter and go down to the volcanic chimney!
Here, you will be able to appreciate an incredible collection of stalactites and stalagmites, as well as discover a vast vegetation created by the carbonization of the rivers of acidic lava previously produced in the volcano.

4- Facho viewpoint
